Approved 11% Cash Dividend
Asia Insurance Limited has approved 11% Cash Dividend for the year ended December 31, 2023 in its 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 17th September, 2024 virtually by using Digital Platform.
The meeting was presided over by the Company’s Hon’ble Vice Chairman Mr. Mohammed Jahangir Alam and a large number of shareholders participate virtually in the meeting. The Company’s Managing Director & CEO Mr. Md. Imam Shaheen spoke in the meeting.
During the year, the Company earned a gross premium of Tk. 744,324,796/-, profit before tax was Tk. 136,100,889/-. Company’s total assets at the end of the year stood at Tk. 2,565,858,156/-. A good number of Shareholders participated in the discussions through using digital platform and expressed their full satisfaction with the performance of the Company amidst challenges and hurdles. Shareholders also approved to change the registered name of the Company to ‘Asia Insurance PLC.’ from ‘Asia Insurance Limited’. Asia Insurance Limited maintaining AA+ Credit Rating since 2020.
The meeting re-elected 03 (three) Directors namely Mrs. Khaleda Begum, Mr. Mohammad Mustafa Haider and Mr. Walid Mohammed Shamuel which approved by the Shareholders.
